Update billing software to require prior authorization for HIFU prostate procedures on all Medicare Advantage claims submitted on or after July 1, 2026. Add HIFU authorization workflow to encounter templates used by urology providers. Notify urology department of new authorization requirements before the effective date. Claims submitted without required prior authorization will be denied by Medicare Advantage plans.
