Summary
Louisiana Medicaid is requiring all providers (including MCO providers who previously weren't required to enroll) to complete enrollment through the state's web-based Provider Enrollment Portal to comply with federal CMS requirements. Providers who fail to complete enrollment by designated deadlines will face claim denials and deactivation from the Louisiana Medicaid program.
Action Required
Immediately: All Louisiana providers billing Medicaid (including those only contracted with MCOs) must verify enrollment status using the Provider Lookup Tool at lamedicaid.com. If not enrolled or status shows 'action required', complete enrollment through the Provider Enrollment Portal using your Louisiana Provider ID, NPI, and practice details. Failure to enroll will result in claim denials and program deactivation.
