Summary
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield is ending the ComplexCare Solutions SOAP note incentive program effective August 31, 2026. Providers who currently submit electronic health assessments through the Converged Patient Assessment portal (formerly ePASS) to qualify for incentive payments will no longer receive these payments after this date. SOAP notes submitted on or before August 31, 2026, will still be processed and paid according to current incentive methodology.
Action Required
By August 31, 2026: Billing team should identify all current submissions to the Converged Patient Assessment portal (ePASS) that generate ComplexCare Solutions incentive payments. Ensure all qualifying SOAP notes are submitted before the deadline to capture final incentive payments. After August 31, 2026, discontinue submitting notes for incentive payment purposes through this program, as no further payments will be issued. Update internal documentation and provider communication to reflect the program end date. No immediate action is required as the effective date is over 2 years away; however, practices should plan to adjust revenue forecasting and provider compensation models if ComplexCare incentives currently factor into financial projections.
