Summary

Texas Medicaid (TMHP) is experiencing processing delays for Portal Request Change Forms (PRCFs) and has implemented a new mandatory video conference verification step to confirm provider identity before processing changes. Providers must maintain current NPI account access, ensure accurate account information, and keep at least two active administrators per practice location.

Action Required

Action needed
Immediately: (1) Billing team and practice administrators must ensure all staff who manage TMHP portal accounts have updated contact information on file to receive video conference scheduling requests from TMHP. (2) Verify that at least two active administrator accounts are maintained per practice location or contract number in the TMHP portal. (3) Audit all authorized user access levels and revoke access for staff no longer requiring it. (4) Review the updated TMHP My Account User Guide (available at tmhp.com) to understand new account management procedures. (5) When TMHP contacts the practice to schedule a required video conference for identity verification, coordinate with an authorized administrator to complete the verification before requested portal changes can be processed. Delays in completing video verification will prevent processing of Portal Request Change Forms. Contact TMHP Contact Center at 800-925-9126 or TMHP-CSHCN Services at 800-568-2413 for questions or to expedite verification scheduling.
