Summary
Starting July 31, 2026, TMHP will enhance the PEMS (Provider Enrollment and Management System) with SmartTips and WalkMe walkthroughs to streamline provider enrollment applications. These tools provide field definitions and deficiency correction guidance, reducing application processing times. The phased rollout will be completed by end of 2026.
Action Required
By July 31, 2026: Billing and administrative staff responsible for TMHP provider enrollment should familiarize themselves with the new PEMS interface enhancements. When submitting applications or addressing deficiencies, staff should locate and use SmartTips (question mark icons) for field guidance and click the 'Deficiencies Help' button to access WalkMe walkthroughs for deficiency correction instructions. After correcting deficiencies, ensure the updated application is submitted via the Agreements page in PEMS.
