Summary

eMOMED (Missouri Medicaid's electronic system) is implementing mandatory Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) effective 8/15/2026. All users must have already selected and registered an MFA method (SMS, Email, or Authenticator App) by the enforcement date, or they will be unable to log in to the system.

Action Required

Before Aug 15, 2026
By 8/15/2026: All billing team staff with eMOMED access must complete MFA registration immediately if not already done. Staff should select their preferred MFA method (SMS, Email, or Authenticator App) and complete registration through eMOMED. Beginning 8/15/2026, MFA verification will be required and enforced on every login—staff without registered MFA will be locked out of the system and unable to submit claims, check eligibility, or perform other critical billing functions. Designate a system administrator to verify all team members have completed MFA setup and document completion dates.
