Summary
Health Net is implementing a new electronic claims payment system through Zelis, requiring all providers (except those already enrolled in ZAPP Edge) to select an electronic payment option by July 29, 2026, to avoid payment delays via paper check. Providers must enroll in either Health Net ePayment Center or Zelis payment options; capitation payments are unaffected.
Action Required
By July 29, 2026: Billing team and practice administrators must verify current electronic payment enrollment status with Health Net. If not currently enrolled in ZAPP Edge (formerly ACH+), select and enroll in one of two options: (1) Health Net ePayment Center (call 855-774-4392 or visit ePayment Center website) for no-cost EFT and ERA with online payment history access, or (2) Zelis payments via ZAPP Edge or Virtual Credit Card (call 855-496-1571 or contact Zelis directly) for consolidated payments from 550+ payers. Update practice payment information in billing system to reflect selected method. Document enrollment confirmation for compliance records. Failure to enroll will result in claims payments being issued by paper check instead of electronic transfer, causing payment processing delays and potential cash flow disruption.
