Summary
Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico now requires all contracted providers to verify their directory information every 90 days, even if no changes have occurred. Providers who don't respond to verification requests may have their information removed from the directory until it can be verified.
Action Required
Every 90 days: Administrative staff must verify practice directory information using either the Demographic Change Form or Availity Essentials Provider Data Management feature. Ensure all information is current including practice locations, addresses, phone numbers, hours of operation, specialty, and new patient acceptance status. Failure to respond to verification requests will result in removal from provider directory.
