Summary
Texas Health and Human Services will transition the Critical Incident Management System (CIMS) to a new platform with a scheduled weekend offline period from close of business Friday, July 24, 2026 (5 p.m.) through Monday, July 27, 2026 (8 a.m.). Medicaid providers serving DBMD, CLASS, HCS, LIDDAs, and TxHmL programs will have no system access during this window. Billing teams must plan accordingly to avoid processing delays for affected Medicaid claims during this period.

By July 24, 2026: Billing team and providers must plan for system unavailability during the weekend offline period (July 24-27, 2026). (1) Notify all staff that CIMS will be offline from Friday 5 p.m. through Monday 8 a.m. (2) Complete any critical CIMS submissions before Friday close of business. (3) Queue any time-sensitive incident reports for submission after Monday 8 a.m. when the new system launches. (4) Communicate with affected program areas (DBMD, CLASS, HCS, LIDDAs, TxHmL) about the transition window. (5) Bookmark the new system access point and distribute login information to authorized staff. Contact MCS_CIMS@hhs.texas.gov with transition questions. Failure to plan ahead may result in delayed incident reporting and potential compliance issues with Medicaid incident documentation requirements.
