Action Required
By October 15, 2026: Billing team must update all billing software, claim submission templates, and provider education materials to require the ET modifier when billing CDT code D9110 for emergency dental services under CSHCN. Train all dental providers and billing staff that claims for D9110 without the ET modifier may be denied or delayed.
