DSS Important Message - Open Office Hours for Multi-Factor Authentication /Security Questions; Multi-Factor Authentication Mandated Enrollment on August 1, 2026; Security Question Updates, Notifications

By August 1, 2026: All staff members with master user or clerk access to the Connecticut CMAP secure web portal must complete MFA enrollment. REQUIREMENTS: (1) Providers and billing team leads must identify all users requiring portal access (master users and clerks). (2) Each user must enroll in MFA using either an authenticator app (Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, or Authy) or email verification before August 1, 2026. (3) Users may enroll now through the portal login screen or via Account > MFA enrollment tab; enrollment can be bypassed with 'Skip for Now' until the deadline. (4) Front desk or designated staff should attend optional office hours (July 16-31, 2026) to learn the setup process. (5) IT or administrative staff must ensure registered email addresses are current and that @gainwelltechnologies.com is added to email allowlists. (6) After August 1, MFA will be required for all portal logins, password resets, and EFT information updates. Failure to enroll will prevent portal access and may disrupt claims submission, eligibility verification, and payment processing.
