(2) Billing team must verify all prescription claims contain explicit dose and directions before submitting to IHCP. (3) Train all pharmacy staff to document prescriber contact and updated directions on the prescription record and initial changes. (4) Update billing system validation rules to block claims using 'as directed' or 'PRN' as the basis for day-supply calculation. (5) Ensure day-supply calculations comply with limits: maintenance meds max 100 days per dispensation; non-maintenance meds max 34 days per dispensation.
