Summary
Virginia Medicaid is ending direct access to Atrezzo Next Generation (ANG) portal for fee-for-service (FFS) service authorization requests effective July 31, 2026. Starting August 1, 2026, all providers must use DMAS Identity, Credentials and Access Management to log into ANG through the Medicaid Enterprise System (MES). Additionally, providers must ensure their enrollment, contact information, and license information in the Provider Services Solution (PRSS) portal are current to avoid claim payment disruptions for both FFS and MCO claims.
Action Required
By July 31, 2026: (1) Billing team must transition from direct ANG access to logging in via DMAS Identity, Credentials and Access Management through the MES portal. Verify that the ANG tile is available in the MES dashboard; if not present or access issues occur, contact MES-Assist@dmas.virginia.gov immediately. (2) Immediately and ongoing: Billing team must verify and maintain current provider enrollment, contact information, and license information in the Provider Services Solution (PRSS) portal for all service locations. Enrollment must be up-to-date for all providers and MCO network providers. (3) Before August 1, 2026: Train all billing staff on the new ANG login process through MES. Update internal documentation and workflows to reflect the new portal access method. Failure to maintain current PRSS enrollment and transition to the new login method will result in claim denials for both FFS and MCO reimbursement.
