Summary
Anthem Ohio has transitioned to electronic payments starting mid-January 2026, implementing Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) as the primary payment method with virtual credit cards (VCC) as backup for non-enrolled providers. Providers can enroll in EFT at EnrollSafe or opt out of VCC payments by contacting Comdata.

Immediately: Billing team should enroll in EFT at https://enrollsafe.payeehub.org to ensure fastest payment processing and avoid potential credit card processing fees from VCC payments. If preferring check payments, contact Comdata at 800-833-7130 with organization TINs to opt out of VCC. Update accounts receivable processes to handle EFT deposits with 835 ERA reconciliation.
