Summary
Anthem Georgia has transitioned to electronic payments starting mid-January 2026. Providers not enrolled in Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) will receive payments via virtual credit cards instead of paper checks, which may incur processing fees.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team should enroll in EFT at https://enrollsafe.payeehub.org to avoid virtual credit card processing fees. Contact merchant processor to understand VCC fees if not enrolling in EFT. For practices wanting to continue receiving checks, call Comdata at 800-833-7130 with organization TINs to opt out of VCCs.
