Summary

Effective July 1, 2026, Connecticut HUSKY Health is updating the physician office and outpatient fee schedule to incorporate July 2026 HCPCS code changes for HIPAA compliance. Additionally, several skin substitute procedure codes will be end-dated (codes for investigational or non-FDA-approved products) and remaining FDA-approved skin substitute codes will be repriced according to CMS guidance. Providers must download the updated fee schedule from ctdssmap.com and verify prior authorization requirements.

Action Required

Action needed
By June 30, 2026: Billing team must download and review the updated July 2026 physician office and outpatient fee schedule from www.ctdssmap.com (Provider > Provider Fee Schedule Download). Identify all skin substitute codes currently in use and cross-reference against the updated schedule to determine which codes have been end-dated or repriced. Update billing system with new reimbursement rates for FDA-approved skin substitutes. Remove or deactivate end-dated codes for investigational/non-FDA-approved skin substitutes to prevent claim denials. Verify prior authorization requirements for all skin substitute procedures. Communicate changes to clinical staff and providers who order skin substitutes. For HUSKY Health programs (A, B, C, D) claims with service dates on or after July 1, 2026, use only active codes from the updated fee schedule. Claims submitted with end-dated codes will be denied.
