Summary
Beginning August 2026, Advantmed (a Florida Blue business associate) will conduct outreach to select Florida Blue members for in-home or virtual health assessments to identify undocumented chronic conditions and care gaps. These assessments are at no cost to members, do not replace routine office visits, and findings will be shared with members' PCPs for potential claim submission. The billing team should be aware that documented chronic conditions from these assessments may appear on future medical claims.
Action Required
By August 2026: Billing team should be prepared to receive and process claims that include newly documented chronic conditions identified through Advantmed assessments. Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure that when assessment findings are received from Advantmed, documented conditions are properly coded and submitted on member claims. Providers should continue routing Advantmed assessment documentation through normal channels and not treat these assessments as replacements for billable office visits. Failure to properly code conditions identified in assessments may result in missed revenue opportunities.
