Summary
Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan now require providers to review and revalidate their directory information every 90 days per the No Surprises Act of 2021. Failure to complete this validation will result in suppression from the provider directories until information is verified. Providers must report changes via CAQH Portal, Provider Change Forms, or facility attestation portals.

Immediately establish a 90-day directory validation cycle: (1) Billing/Administrative team must create a recurring calendar reminder for every 90 days to review and verify all provider information in Harvard Pilgrim and Tufts Health Plan directories (practice location, phone number, hours, new patient acceptance status). (2) Designate responsibility for submitting updates: individual practitioners use CAQH Provider Data Portal; practices use Provider Change Form (email: PPC@point32health.org for Harvard Pilgrim) or Medical/Behavioral Health Provider Information Form (email: provider_information_dept@point32health.org for Tufts). (3) For contracted facilities, submit directory attestation via HPHConnect (Harvard Pilgrim) or Tufts Health Plan secure portal (available June 1, 2025) every 90 days. (4) Document all directory changes and attestation submissions for compliance verification. Consequence: Failure to validate within 90 days will result in automatic directory suppression, preventing patients from finding your practice and significantly reducing referrals and appointment scheduling.
