Summary
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield is notifying Ohio providers that updated pharmacy information is now available on their provider website, effective July 1, 2026. Commercial and Exchange drug lists are posted quarterly (January, April, July, October), and providers must review this information to understand copay requirements, prior authorization needs, step therapy, therapeutic interchange, and generic substitution procedures for their patients.

By July 1, 2026: Billing team and clinical staff must visit https://anthem.com/provider and https://www.anthem.com/pharmacy-information to review updated pharmacy information including copay/coinsurance requirements by drug class, current drug lists, prior authorization requirements, step therapy rules, and generic substitution procedures. Update billing system rules, prior authorization workflows, and clinical protocols to align with the July 2026 drug list changes.
