Summary
Anthem has enhanced its Alerts Hub platform in Virginia to simplify enrollment and expand access to admission, discharge, and transfer (ADT) notifications. Organizations can now bulk-register multiple provider NPIs, enroll by TIN or NPI through the Preference Center, and access alerts across additional specialties (cardiology, endocrinology, internal medicine subspecialties). This enables faster care coordination and supports quality performance improvements including HEDIS measures.
Action Required
By July 1, 2026: Evaluate whether your practice should register with Availity and enroll in Alerts Hub to receive ADT alerts for Anthem members. Identify which providers and staff roles should receive alerts, then designate a staff member to complete bulk registration of applicable provider NPIs through the Preference Center. Configure alert preferences by TIN or NPI based on specialty and member populations served. Ensure designated users access the Alerts Hub regularly to review daily email summaries and ADT data to support timely outreach and care transitions. Update internal workflows to incorporate ADT alerts into your quality improvement processes for HEDIS measure compliance. No billing system changes are required, but operational workflows should be updated to leverage this new alert capability.
