Summary

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield is reminding Ohio providers that they must verify and update their demographic data every 90 days using the Provider Data Management (PDM) feature in Availity Essentials. Failure to complete attestation can result in removal from the online provider directory and classification as non-compliant. This is an administrative requirement affecting all contracted providers in Ohio.

Action Required

Action needed
REQUIREMENTS: - Immediately: Billing team must ensure all contracted providers are aware of the 90-day demographic data attestation requirement through Availity Essentials. - Ongoing (every 90 days): Providers must log into https://Availity.com, navigate to My Providers > Provider Data Management, select Verify Directory Listing, review accuracy, and submit verified profile. Organizations with no changes can use the Quick Verify button. - Before next attestation deadline: Designate an administrator in your organization to manage PDM access and assign additional staff permissions if needed. Contact Availity Client Services at 800-AVAILITY (282-4548) if not yet registered. - Immediate: Flag any providers assigned to Carelon Behavioral Health, Inc. to attest through Carelon's process instead; CAQH providers should attest through CAQH website. - Consequences: Failure to attest every 90 days will result in classification as non-compliant and removal from Anthem's online provider directory, which directly impacts member ability to find and access your practice.
