Summary
BCBS Rhode Island has contracted with InStride Health, a virtual behavioral health provider specializing in anxiety and OCD treatment for ages 7-22. InStride is now a nationally contracted provider within the BCBSRI network, allowing services to expand beyond Rhode Island to members in other states. This is a new in-network provider addition for commercial members effective May 1, 2026.
Action Required
By May 1, 2026: Billing team must update provider credentialing and in-network directories to include InStride Health as an in-network behavioral health provider for BCBSRI commercial plans. Ensure claims routing system recognizes InStride services as in-network to apply appropriate in-network reimbursement rates and reduce patient cost-sharing. Verify eligibility system correctly processes InStride claims for commercial members regardless of state of residence.
