Action Required
By September 30, 2025: Billing team must update all billing software and coding systems to implement the 2026 ICD-10-CM/PCS code sets. Providers must be notified of the transition and trained on any new or revised codes relevant to their specialties. Verify that all encounter forms, templates, and EMR systems reflect the updated codes. After October 1, 2025, all claims with dates of service on or after 10/1/2025 must use the new codes. Claims submitted with outdated 2025 codes for dates of service after 10/1/2025 will be denied by Arkansas Medicaid.
