Summary
Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) has resolved a system issue that incorrectly denied EIDBI claims billed with CPT code H0046 UB for dates of service from Dec. 16, 2025 through Jan. 27, 2026. Affected providers can either allow DHS to reprocess claims automatically or submit manual rebills. Billing teams should identify impacted claims and take action to recover denied revenue.
Action Required
By June 30, 2026: Billing team must identify all EIDBI claims with CPT code H0046 UB that were denied for dates of service between Dec. 16, 2025 and Jan. 27, 2026. For each denied claim, choose one of two options: (1) Contact MHCP Provider Resource Center at 651-431-2700 or 800-366-5411 to request DHS reprocessing, OR (2) Resubmit the claim manually through your billing system. Update your claims tracking log to document which option was selected for each claim and the outcome. Coordinate with collections to ensure revenue recovery once claims are reprocessed or resubmitted. Failure to act may result in permanent loss of reimbursement for these services.
