Summary

Minnesota Health Care Programs has updated the MN–ITS eligibility system to accurately display PT and OT visit utilization since January 1, 2026, and has reprocessed all PT/OT claims with dates of service from that date forward. Reprocessed claims will appear on the May 19, 2026 remittance advice. A broad CPT code pull during reprocessing may have affected other services (such as Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention), but there is no payment impact on non-PT/OT services.

Action Required

Action needed
By May 19, 2026: Billing team must reconcile all PT and OT claims with dates of service January 1, 2026 and forward against the May 19, 2026 remittance advice to verify proper reprocessing and payment. Review any claims for Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention services with dates of service in this period to confirm no unintended payment adjustments occurred. Verify that MN–ITS eligibility responses (271) now accurately reflect current PT and OT visit utilization for all Minnesota Health Care Programs members. If discrepancies are found or questions arise, contact the Minnesota Health Care Programs Provider Resource Center at 651-431-2700 or 800-366-5411.
