Action Required

Action needed
By January 31, 2026: Billing team must obtain and review the Mental Health Codes and Maximum Adjusted FFS Rate grid (PDF) from the Minnesota DHS Behavioral Health Administration website. Update billing system fee schedules to reflect all new FFS rates effective February 1, 2026. Review Page 1 of the grid to identify circumstances qualifying for adjusted reimbursement rates. Providers must ensure mental health service claims submitted on or after February 1, 2026 use the updated rates. Contact bhdrates.dhs@state.mn.us immediately if rate codes or adjustment criteria are unclear. Failure to update rates may result in underpayment or claim denials for mental health services.
