Summary
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield is phasing out the suitcase logo on Blue member ID cards across multiple Blue Plans, replacing it with product identifiers (PPO, HMO). This change is being rolled out in phases with no completion deadline. Billing teams must continue using normal benefit verification processes and NOT use the presence or absence of the suitcase logo to determine member benefits, eligibility, or BlueCard network access.
