Action Required
Effective immediately (June 22, 2026): Billing and claims team must redirect all behavioral health appeals away from Cigna Healthcare and submit them directly to Evernorth Behavioral Health. Update internal appeal submission procedures and staff training to use the new mailing address (Evernorth Behavioral Health, Central Appeals Unit, P.O. Box 188064, Chattanooga, TN 37422). Obtain and use the Behavioral Appeals Cover Sheet Form for all behavioral health appeals (mental health services, substance use disorder services, and other behavioral health benefits). Ensure all required fields are completed and supporting documentation (medical records, bills, correspondence) is included with every submission. Refer staff to the Guide for Requesting an Appeal for detailed process information. Failure to submit appeals to the correct entity will result in processing delays.
