Summary
AHCCCS (Arizona Medicaid) is implementing major changes to non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) claims effective July 1, 2013, requiring a new mandatory Daily Trip Report for all claims. Starting August 1, 2013, any NEMT claims submitted without this report will be denied.
Action Required
By July 1, 2013: All providers billing NEMT services must begin using the new AHCCCS standard Daily Trip Report for all claims. By August 1, 2013: Billing team must ensure ALL non-emergency transport claims include the mandatory Daily Trip Report or claims will be denied. For primary care providers seeking enhanced rates: Submit Primary Care Provider Attestation Form by April 30, 2013 for retroactive enhanced payments from January 1, 2013, or after May 1, 2013 for going-forward enhanced payments only.
