Action needed
By January 1, 2025: Billing team and providers must obtain prior authorization before prescribing Secuado transdermal patches for Humana Medicare Advantage patients with schizophrenia. Verify patient has documentation showing prior therapy, intolerance, or contraindication to at least 2 of these medications: risperidone, olanzapine, quetiapine, ziprasidone, aripiprazole, or lurasidone. Submit prior auth requests through www.humana.com/PAL. Claims will be denied without proper authorization.
