Action Required
By September 1, 2014: NEMT providers must bill all transport services (base code and mileage) on a single claim using multiple lines for the same date of service. Split billing will result in denials. By October 1, 2014: NEMT providers serving tribal reservations must have corresponding Tribal business licenses on file with AHCCCS Provider Registration or prior authorizations will be denied. Continue using ICD-9 codes until October 1, 2015 - do not submit ICD-10 codes as claims will be rejected.
