Summary
AHCCCS is transitioning to a new financial system effective July 1, 2015, changing Fee for Service payment schedules and consolidating all payments into single weekly ACH/check payments on Thursdays. Additionally, Provider Type 40 (Attendant Care Agency) providers must now wait 12 months after registration before billing for non-emergency medical transportation services.
Action Required
By June 30, 2015: Billing team must update cash flow expectations for AHCCCS payments - claims completed during June 26th week will be paid June 30th, but subsequent payments will shift to weekly Thursday schedule starting July 16th. Register for electronic payments at azahcccs.gov direct deposit link. For Provider Type 40 agencies: Stop billing NEMT services immediately if registered less than 12 months ago, and ensure NEMT services don't exceed 30% of total billings once eligible.
