Summary
AHCCCS has issued multiple operational updates for Arizona Medicaid providers, including Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) implementation for home health services in summer 2020, transition to online provider enrollment portal (APEP) by August 31, 2020, and establishment of American Indian Medical Home (AIMH) program with tiered per-member-per-month payment rates.
Action Required
By August 31, 2020: Providers must transition from paper-based enrollment to new AHCCCS Provider Enrollment Portal (APEP) for all enrollment updates, license uploads, and certification changes. Direct Care Worker Agencies must prepare for EVV implementation in summer 2020 and participate in all EVV-related meetings. IHS/Tribal facilities interested in AIMH program should complete accreditation requirements and enter into Intergovernmental Agreement to receive PMPM payments ranging from $15.18 to $26.05 based on tier level.
