Action Required
Before February 4, 2026: Billing team must update system to deny/reject claims for HCPCS codes E0217, E0225, E0236, E0239 for Virginia Medicaid members. Notify providers that active cold/heat therapy devices, compression therapy units, and specialty devices like Game Ready, Polar Care systems, and VibraCool are not covered. Update encounter forms and prior authorization lists. Claims for these devices will be denied as not medically necessary.
