Summary

Nevada Medicaid has updated error code 3030 to 3031 for Physician Administered Drug (PAD) claims. Claims will now deny with error code 3031 when the billing or rendering provider on the claim doesn't match the provider information in the prior authorization for specialty drugs.

Immediately: Billing team must ensure that when submitting prior authorization requests for PAD specialty drugs, the group billing NPI or facility rendering services matches the provider who will submit claims. Select 'YES' for 'Alternative Servicing Provider' and choose the correct group or facility. Ensure the Medicaid ID for the billing provider is identified as the pharmacy rendering provider when submitting PA requests to Magellan Medicaid Administration. If claims deny with error code 3031, contact MMA at (800) 695-5526 to update the PA.
