Summary
Nevada Medicaid requires all Hospital Presumptive Eligibility (HPE) staff at inpatient hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals to recertify every two years starting October 2024. Staff certified before September 2023 must recertify by December 31, 2024, while those certified September 2023-2024 have until October 1, 2025.
Action Required
By December 31, 2024: HPE staff certified before September 2023 must complete mandatory 3-day virtual recertification training. Hospital Administrator or CEO must sign required addendum and registration forms and submit to providerenrollment@dhcfp.nv.gov at least 10 business days before selected training session. Staff certified September 2023-2024 must recertify by October 1, 2025. Note: Training is for hospital staff only, not contract or third-party billing services.
