Summary
Nevada Medicaid has removed the age limit for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services effective April 1, 2024. Previously denied claims for recipients age 21 and over will be automatically reprocessed, and future claims for ABA services can now be submitted for patients of any age.
Action Required
Immediately: ABA providers (PT 85) should begin submitting claims for recipients age 21 and over for dates of service on or after April 1, 2024. Monitor future remittance advice for results of automatically reprocessed claims that were previously denied with error code 4714. Review any new claim denials upon reprocessing and utilize appeal process if necessary per Medicaid Services Manual Chapter 100.
