Nevada Medicaid updated their Diabetic Supplies Preferred Product List effective September 26, 2024. Two new products were added (Freestyle Libre 3 Plus sensor and Relion True Metrix Air meter) while six One Touch meter products were removed from the preferred list.

Immediately: Billing team must verify diabetic supply claims use preferred products from the updated list. Stop billing for removed One Touch meter products (Ultramini, Ultra 2, Verio series) unless patients have medical necessity documentation. Update prior authorization workflows to prioritize newly preferred products: Freestyle Libre 3 Plus sensor, Relion True Metrix Air meter, and CeQur Simplicity insulin delivery system.
