Summary
Regional Behavioral Health Authorities (RBHAs) are transitioning to AHCCCS Complete Care Contractors with Regional Behavioral Health Agreements (ACC-RBHAs) effective October 1, 2022. Geographic Service Areas are being realigned with Gila and Pinal counties moving to Central GSA, and a single statewide crisis phone line will replace individual GSA crisis lines.
Action Required
By October 1, 2022: Billing team must update provider directories and referral processes to reflect new ACC-RBHA contractor names (Mercy Care, Arizona Complete Health-Complete Care Plan, and Care1st). Update crisis line contact information in patient materials and staff directories to include new statewide crisis phone number while maintaining existing numbers during transition period.
