Summary
Nevada Medicaid is terminating Provider Types 17/171 (Methadone) and 17/215 (Substance Use Agency Model) effective April 1, 2025. Current providers must re-enroll under the new Provider Type 93 (Substance Use Treatment) by March 31, 2025, or they will lose their ability to bill Nevada Medicaid for substance use treatment services.
Action Required
By March 31, 2025: Current PT 17/171 and PT 17/215 providers must complete re-enrollment as PT 93 (Substance Use Treatment) providers through the Online Provider Enrollment (OPE) tool. Submit initial enrollment application and ensure clinical supervisors are enrolled if applicable. Failure to re-enroll will result in termination of Nevada Medicaid provider status and inability to bill for services after April 1, 2025.
