Summary
Starting June 1, 2022, AHCCCS providers must report the individual practitioner who rendered services on all professional and dental claims for integrated clinics, behavioral health outpatient clinics, and general clinics. Claims missing this practitioner information will be denied by AHCCCS and its Managed Care Organizations.
Action Required
By June 1, 2022: Billing team must update claim submission processes to include individual practitioner information on all professional and dental service claims for Provider Types IC, 77, and 05. Review Exhibit 10-1 of the AHCCCS Fee-For-Service Provider Billing Manual for proper billing instructions. Failure to include practitioner information will result in claim denials from AHCCCS and MCOs.
