Nevada Medicaid providers transitioning from PT 17 substance use specialties (Methadone and SUAM) to PT 93 (Substance Use Treatment) can no longer backdate enrollment effective dates as of December 11, 2024. The enrollment effective date will be when the PT 93 application is finalized, and providers must continue billing under their current PT 17 enrollment until the transition is complete.

Immediately: Substance use providers transitioning from PT 17/171 (Methadone) or PT 17/215 (SUAM) to PT 93 must continue submitting all claims and prior authorization requests under their current PT 17 enrollment until PT 93 application is complete. Review PT 93 provider welcome letter to confirm enrollment effective date. Once approved as PT 93, transfer remaining prior authorization units per Web Announcement 3362 instructions. Note: Enrollment effective dates cannot be backdated.
