Beginning November 1, 2022, all providers delivering in-home services and skilled nursing must have Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) compliance to receive Medicaid reimbursement. Claims without complete EVV visit data will be denied payment once hard claim edits begin.

By November 1, 2022: Providers delivering non-skilled in-home services (attendant care, personal care, homemaker, habilitation, respite) and in-home skilled nursing services must implement Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) compliance. Billing team must ensure all EVV visit data is complete and present before claim submission. Develop operational procedures, train administrative personnel, onboard members and caregivers, and establish visit logging protocols. Claims without required EVV data will be denied payment.
