Summary
Starting March 17, 2025, prescribing providers will receive Notice of Decision letters for DME prior authorization requests and can access them through EVS Report Download. The National Provider Identifier (NPI) for the prescribing provider is now required when submitting DME PA requests.
Action Required
Immediately: Update DME prior authorization request processes to include the prescribing provider's NPI in all submissions. Train staff to access Notice of Decision letters through EVS Report Download link. Review EVS User Manual Chapter 10 for instructions on viewing and downloading reports.
