Effective date
May 1, 2025
We identified it
Jun 21, 2026
Days to comply

Summary

Nevada Medicaid has streamlined their Letter of Agreement (LOA) process - providers with LOAs issued on or after May 1, 2025 no longer need to attach LOA copies to claims, and all LOA claims must now be submitted through regular channels instead of EXCP Batch (which will be denied).

Action Required

Action needed
Immediately: For Nevada Medicaid LOA claims issued May 1, 2025 or later, billing team must stop attaching LOA copies to claims and stop submitting LOA claims as EXCP Batch (these will be denied). For LOAs issued before May 1, 2025, continue current process until receiving email notification from DHCFP that transition is complete (expected within 2 weeks). Update billing procedures to allow 2 business days after LOA approval before submitting claims to ensure LOA reflects in MMIS system.
