Summary
Nevada Medicaid is creating a new provider type (PT 96, specialty 896) for Rural Emergency Hospitals starting May 20, 2025. REH providers can enroll through the Online Provider Enrollment tool and will receive 5% additional payment above current outpatient service rates for all services rendered.
Action Required
By May 20, 2025: Rural Emergency Hospital providers in Nevada must enroll through the Online Provider Enrollment (OPE) tool under new provider type 96, specialty 896. Check the Provider Enrollment Checklists webpage and Provider Billing Information webpage for enrollment checklist and billing guide once available. Eligible providers may request to backdate enrollment effective date to March 1, 2025.
