Nevada Medicaid is creating a new Provider Type (PT) 97 for Peer Support services with four specialty codes for behavioral health providers. Enrollment opens July 8, 2025, but claims will suspend until CMS approves the pending State Plan Amendment.

For Nevada practices providing peer support services: By July 8, 2025, eligible peer support providers should enroll in Provider Flex tool under new PT 97 with appropriate specialty codes (706-PRSS, 720-YPSS, 897-Agency, 899-FPSS). Monitor for PT 97 Billing Guide publication and note that claims will suspend pending CMS approval of State Plan Amendment.
