Summary
Nevada Medicaid introduces new Provider Type 97 for Peer Support services with four specialty categories, effective July 8, 2025. Providers can enroll now and backdate to July 1, 2025, but all claims will suspend pending CMS approval of the State Plan Amendment.

Nevada providers offering peer support services: Enroll immediately as PT 97 through Provider Flex tool if eligible (specialties: 706-PRSS, 720-YPSS, 897-Agency/Group, 899-FPSS). Review new PT 97 Billing Guide on Billing Information webpage for prior authorization and billing requirements. Note: All PT 97 claims will suspend until SPA approval.
