Summary
Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers (CCBHCs) can no longer bill MediKan claims using their CCBHC National Provider Identifier or CCBHC Prospective Payment System codes. CCBHCs must use alternative billing methods for all MediKan member services, with this restriction applying retroactively to May 1, 2022.

Immediately: CCBHCs must stop submitting MediKan claims under their CCBHC National Provider Identifier. Billing team must identify alternative billing methods and NPIs for MediKan member services. Review claims submitted since May 1, 2022 for potential reprocessing. Update billing system to prevent CCBHC PPS code usage for MediKan members.
