Summary
AHCCCS has updated requirements for Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) 835 setup requests. Only authorized individuals from the provider organization can submit setup requests and accept Trading Partner Agreements - clearinghouses and billing services cannot submit these requests on behalf of providers.
Action Required
Immediately: If your practice needs ERA/835 setup with AHCCCS, ensure only authorized provider organization staff submit service ticket requests to servicedesk@azahcccs.gov. Include: transaction type (ERA/835), provider name, 6-digit AHCCCS Provider ID, NPI number, and Tax ID. Specify whether provider organization or clearinghouse/billing service should receive ERA/835 (only one can be designated). Do not allow clearinghouse or billing service to submit requests on your behalf.
